Local Friends is an Edmonton & Area community built around one simple idea: bringing people together in real life.
We create opportunities to meet new people, discover interesting places, share experiences, and spend more time outside the online world.
Local Friends was created to take people out of endless online chat and into real local friendships — dinners, events, and shared experiences you can only have in person.
Local Friends brings together dinners, lunches, parties, local business visits, special events, hobby communities, networking, private clubs, and other experiences throughout Edmonton & Area.
Some events are about food. Others are about entertainment, local businesses, shared interests, or simply meeting people you may never have met otherwise.
Our first private club is Meat, Fish & Friends — a food and social community built around restaurants, local producers, specialty shops, farms, markets, tastings, presentations, and private gatherings.
Over time, Local Friends will grow to include additional communities and experiences built around different interests.
The goal is simple:
- Meet people.
- Discover places.
- Try something new.
- Build real connections.
Membership in private Local Friends communities is by application and approval. Submitting an application does not automatically activate membership.
